Log
A copy of a letter written in Fey serves as the mission log. The letter is written in incredibly tiny handwriting. A translated manuscript written in Common accompanies the letter.
Mighty Herbivore King,
I write this letter to update you on my progress to find you many delicacies on the plane known as Kelek. So far, I have discovered several delicacies that I am excited to present for your delight- apples, kiwis, mangos, and oranges. I have also done my due diligence of spreading word of your corpulent might among the strange residents of this plane, many who are cursed with the weakness of being dirty carnivores.
Recently, I was tasked with a job that I eagerly undertook, as it was one that I knew you would have personally undertaken if you had been present to provide your overshadowing might to the poor herbivores of this plane. A human named Nakaya came to plead for protection of her herd of llamas. Several others chose to accompany me so that each llama would have their own personal guardian, mighty warriors pledged to give their lives to protect the herd. Great One, if you had been present we would not have needed so many to protect so few. As it was, our numbers were barely enough to drive off the dirty carnivores that stood in our way during the trip!
The first obstacle that we overcame was a shapeshifter who was foolish enough to reveal his nature by the terrible form he took. I valiantly fought with him during the night and was able to subdue him in spite of him trying to grow his form in a poor imitation of your might. When the groups around us tried banding together to stand against our collective might, a classic carnivore tactic, I was able to intimidate many of them into fleeing during the night.
I was well prepared to handle the second obstacle that rose to test my commitment to your work. However, before I could give a demonstration of a mere sliver of your own might, the warriors who had accompanied me made their own demonstration. The first, Pomba, lured the dirty carnivores into complacency by distracting them with gold- a substance that they have here in Kelek that is given great value- and then the second, Victoria promised them that we would return to slaughter them once our far more important work was finished. The carnivores retreated with their tails firmly tucked between their legs. Ha ha, the cowards!
Our third trial was by far the most difficult. A mighty flying carnivore attacked! Though you would have needed only the smallest bleat to summon the winds to strike it down, I had to focus all of my own considerable might into fending off the creatures vicious attacks and protecting the herd. The creature was not only vicious, but also quite cunning- an incredibly dangerous type of carnivore. By the time I was able to safely usher our charges to safety, the dirty carnivore had carried off two of our warriors for it's next meal. Victoria and Bonko were lost to us, likely never to be seen again. We had to continue on with just myself and Pomba, Sahona, and Wrax. Though the loss was great, I am comforted to know that their sacrifice allowed us to keep the entire herd safe.
We eventually came to our furthest destination, where we found a village slaughtered by carnivores and another herd was sorely in need of my protection. I knew that such an undertaking would be stretching the limits of my own meager capabilities, but I knew deep within me what action you would have taken and so I did the same. I comforted the poor alpacas and took them into my protection until I could find others who could serve as shepherds and guardians for the herd.
We returned back the way we came with far fewer issues. The ones who challenged us on the first pass remained cowed by our might as we passed through a second time. Only the foes that I had not personally dealt with before dared to stand in our way again and they were easy enough to redirect. It was a trying trip, but one that allowed me to grow my own strength and conviction in serving you and your might.
Your humble servant always seeking to do as you would- protect innocent herbivores and slaughter dirty carnivores, Sssst

Second Expedition
The following was recounted to me by Berta on the way back to Onadbyr
The council received a ransom note from a group known as the Hidden Valley Bandits demanding 2 bars of silver for our release. They did not have any silver, so they sent Berta over with 200 gold, with Sutton and Lictor Zeal waiting in the wings for if something went wrong. Following some rumors and borrowing a few mercenaries, she made her way to the fortress, where a slight misunderstanding resulted in her being captured by those same bandits. Sutton followed a path Berta laid out on the way here, and talked things over with the bandits, which is when Bonko and I got released.
The following is from the perspective of the author of this log, and contains my account of the events after the fight with the Manticore in the previous log
When I woke up, Bonko had crawled into my pack, and told me to play dead. It would appear as if I am only here today because of his quick thinking. The Manticore grabbed us and took us to a fortress far from where the rest of our group was, they probably think we are dead by now. I got knocked out again, and woke up in a dungeon cell, apparently they thought Bonko was a pet and kept him in storage. After some time, Sutton showed up and negotiated for our release. When we got outside the fort, a storm was brewing, and we encountered the manticore on a bridge. It was here that we lost Bonko, a sudden gust of wind blew him into the chasm. I heard that he survived and made his way back to the city. After convincing the manticore to leave with some clever tactics, I promised it a rematch and we started on our way back to Onadbyr. Nakaya and her caravan set up camp nearby, so we waited out the storm with them. After the storm, I went to look for the group of horse riders who I promised a duel with. Sutton left to return to her daughter, and Berta came with me to make sure her mission got completed. We could not find the riders themselves, but I did find a few guards who I asked to send a message of where I am. The bandits sent the ring I was entrusted with back, so hopefully the offer is still valid. After that, we finally made our way back to the city. I will have to train rigorously in preparation for when I go back to kill that manticore.
