Too early in the morning for a night Grippli, Pomba shows up and greets Red at the meeting spot in a covered wagon, and is followed by Taru and Victoria. Pomba does not know Taru but has met her sister Tasu in the warehouse, and would learn later that Victoria is trying to be a Hellknight. Pomba slept on the way to the pit
Pomba arrives at the pit with new friends and meets a man named Reverend. He is lizardfolk, and asks us a bunch of questions. Pomba thought this was going to be an arena, not a test, but the questions were so easy, even for Pomba!
Reverend asks us to demonstrate our combat abilities and explains that the crowd wants a good show. Pomba shows the holy man how good he is at beating up a training dummy, and was impressed. The others did good too.
Rev wanted to have a hands on test and took us into the pit. And our new friend Rev summons some undead, making Victoria uneasy. Pomba claimed this as the Pomba Pit!
The undead were kind of pushovers with the power of teamwork, and Pomba's fists and teeth! Victoria and Red go down, but it's okay because the arena is magic and stops us from dying. The undead are unable to drain the life from Red and Pomba, but Pomba is better and is able to suck their gross blood instead! Pomba finished off the monster and proclaimed that my name in the arena shall be the Grippli Grappler!
After Rev helps us all get healed up, Pomba realizes that Victoria is probably racist against undead.
Rev hands Pomba and the others a bunch of useless junk, but that didn't stop Pomba from covering himself with oil! We entered the arena once more, now there was a crowd and new people to fight, though 2 of them looked like wolf people. The crowd loved Pomba's entrance so much they also kept cheering while the others made their way into the arena! Pomba loves this attention. Pomba wants to be a gladiator now.
The useless junk that Rev gave us wasn't just useless, it made everyone suck a lot at fighting! Red could barely walk straight, like he had just spent all day drinking with Clan Ashenforge, Taru could barely hold her weapon because of the oil, and the net Vic picked up looked not good.
Fighting the bandits and their dog people were tough, mostly because of the junk, but the crowd loved it, especially all the times Red went to attack and instead just hit the floor. We all kept getting surrounded and flanked and everyone kept almost dying! Not Pomba though. Taru helped keep everyone awake, while Pomba kept on clobbering.
Things were looking bad, but then we made a comeback! Pomba uppercut the last man standing in his most vital area, and struck a pose while the crowd went wild. Everyone got to bask in the glory of combat! Rev paid us a lot of gold for the great show, and Pomba wants to come back to practice his wrestling!
