The Final Layer
- Head back into the mausoleum
- Grist uses wand of Infectious Ennui
- Open path to final layer of catacombs
- Big stairway down
- Massive well of souls
- Giggling lich guards it
- Soul creature trapped in middle of soul pool
- Fight lich
- Clam steps on fireball rune
- Several horse-like undead creatures with people feet emerge from soul pool
- Tentacle monsters emerge as well
- Two big multi-armed monsters as well
- Lich tries invisibility and flying
- Gets hurt by Clam and Kali
- Lich teleports up to top area and vanishes
- Kali and Clam chase
- Rest of us fight off remaining monsters
- Clam throws Lich off 70 ft ledge
- Lands back near us
- Kali dives down
- Finishes it off with electric elbow-drop
- Lich soul pulled into well
- "Get out" from spirit in soul pool
- Soul now aggressive
- Team wears it down quickly
- I finish off with magical aim-assistance from Kali
- Souls drain out
- Metal box left behind
- Open it to find items
- Make sure Lich won't come back
- Job done
Conclusions and Hopes
- Undead source of Lancaster hopefully gone?
- Unclear
- Lich may be side-effect of undead incursion
- Previous logs imply undead incursion started outside of city
- No mention of lich
- But who made the undead?
- Hopefully the lich we killed
