Log

The Band and the associates entered the rat den for the final time, and found a giant broken hall. Black tendrils of obsidian had been struck through the ancient ritual ground. A Kodama, a mystical being from a far away land, was conducting the ritual to summon the rats forth and create the ratspawn. The banjo began to play, bringing forth rats and transforming the rats into ratspawn as the band and associates pushed through the waves. Grist broke ranks to make a play for the kodama, and got brought down, while Cutter made the same play and almost made it. Feet from the banjo, a devil came forth and grabbed it instead, giving him the power of banjo. The devil destroyed the rat swarms, and used their flesh to create a rat ogre. The devil had an aura that sapped life and transfered it to him. After the party beat down the first rat ogre, they turned their attention to the devil, but our strikes went right through him. Turns out, we needed to destroy the banjo itself, and did so. When we destroyed the banjo, it deteriorated into rats, but we squished them all. Then the devil hung around a little bit, and signed a blood pact with Satori. Serene and Bodrukk stepped into the Dead South's business and didn't let Billy get shot. The lead singer was understandably mad at this, and cursed every associate forever.
