Kagari was born into the Hiroaki clan in what was once Tatekami Village from the Old Country. Clan Hiroaki was an oddity among the Kitsune, they believed the existence of a limited well of souls to draw from. When one dies and another is born in a manner very similar to reincarnation; albeit into a new body. This has led the clan to uphold strange positions with caretakers and scholars dedicated to studying newborns to see which soul they were born with. Now when dealing with matters of the soul. Their scholars believe that while the soul is immortal. They also believe that each vessel imparts new experiences onto the soul. Creating a new person with each incarnation.
Kagari was an aspiring scholar before the famine hit, choosing to focus on studying the elements, mainly focusing on fire and metal. Kagari spends a lot of time either at the onsen, or grifting on the streets to try and lure people into games of chance.
