For most, figuring out their purpose in life is a major goal. For Mahra this was never a concern as she was born to serve a specific purpose in her clan.
Before her birth, Mahra's clan had no one to perform the rites of the clan, the last shaman having died of old age. With tradition dictating that the clan Shaman be born of one with divine power flowing in their blood, Mahra's father, the leader of the clan, traveled to the nearby human settlement and recruited a priestess of Sarenrae for help. Together, Mahra was born.
Mahra was raised in the clan to serve as its spiritual leader. She excelled at this but also was born with the power to sense and interact with the spirits around her. This was a rare talent within the clan and Mahra was encouraged to follow this path; thus, she became an animist. However, recognizing her dedication to the clan Mahja Firehair blessed her as well (Blessed one Archetype). The rest of Mahra's childhood was filled with training for her eventual duties to the clan. However, fate was not on her side. While in seclusion performing her final purification rituals before assuming her duties, the worst happened and the collapse struck her clan. She emerged from the cave from her seclusion only to find her entire clan had been destroyed, no trace of them remaining.
Mahra searched for her clan for a while, but after finding nothing, she decided to move forward. She began wandering, spreading the teachings of Mahja and helping those she came across. Many needed the help of priestess after all. From funeral rights, to healing the injured, she performed her duties, but felt the miss of her clan, of a community to be a part of. Mahja's teachings involve devoting oneself to supporting their community and this was the one thing she was unable to do. As such, when she heard of a town that had been reclaimed and was doing exactly that, she began heading there. Eventually she made her way to Onadbyr. Upon arriving, she learned that the town even had a batch of salmon transplanted to the town and were now thriving. With Mahja's divine animal being the salmon, to Mahra it seemed almost like divine providence, and now seeks to do everything she can to improve the new community she has found after long last.
The Flamewalker Stronghold
After entering the city, Mahra quickly began setting up her new tribe's base of operation. She claimed an abandoned manor in the Upper sacks and went about fixing it up.
