Something called the Star Pit showed up to town in order to recruit new faces, and since I'm a new face in town I felt that was a perfect call for me! A bunch of others showed up, including that pink nagaji and windy tengu from the other week.
We arrived and showed off our titles and got to work in the tryouts to be gladiators, and we blew the expectations out of the water, I'm especially proud of my footwork. Also, Vliegen showed off more of his air powers, Dwy showed off his climbing and archery skills, Jeremy (or is it Jez?) summoned a skunk, Sain insulted a brain, and Peaches torched a frog. We were the Lotus Prince, Sain was Mr. Drama, Vliegen was the Stormlord, Dwy was Saethwr Gwead, Jez was the Slick Sprayer, and Peaches was the Pink Protector.
The main event arrived and our competitor arrived, who was the Storm King, and so we immediately had to fight for the right of who gets to keep their title between him and Vliegen. He summoned a bunch of elemental wisps, but one kind of sucked at forming and became some dirt? It ran away and the wisps were kind of pushovers so I went to deal with the Storm King himself, but he flew away from me, probably because he was so scared. Sain insulted him so hard he came back down, which gave me the perfect opportunity to stab him in the back, then Dwy gets the finishing blow.
The dirt wisp returns with some kind of rock dog, who immediately messes up Vliegen. Jez puts in good work with his magic, and I get another great hit in into the creature's back for Dwy to finish the kill from afar. The dirt wisp begins to disappear underground, and Sain's insults must have sent it far away.
Turns out, our "lifetime supply" of healing potions amounts to 1 healing potion per year for our group, after winning at rock paper scissors, I got to claim the first potion this year. This was fun.
