We set out for my home village to perform the rites for my hellknight trial, Lictor Zeal here to oversee the rites, and Commander Grist here to summon the Barbazu. When we got there, we found some beasts that needed clearing out: I believe they are called Cauthooj. They let out strange noises that caused us to turn on eachother, and the fact that Pomba almost brought me down should have been enough to foreshadow how the events after would occur. When the Barbazu was summoned, and the trial proper had started, I quickly found myself overwhelmed. I was able to do significant damage to it, but I was not able to keep up. I quickly found myself bleeding out on the ground after a few rounds. I failed my trial, but due to Grist's intervention, I found myself still among the living. I am not worthy of being a Hellknight, and as such had the rank of Armiger stripped from me, and I was assigned to clean Jeremiah's Rest for 30 days.
