Dendra, known to their Dwarven smithing masters as the Bladesinger, is an Associate of the Round Table. Dendra is a smith by trade, and has decided that the best way to advertise their work is to demonstrate their quality in the field. Equally talented fighting with their blade as making them, they primarily wield an innovative Gnomish weapon known as the switchscythe.

Skills

Dendra is a crafter with a penchant for the occult. She considers the battlefield and their comrades a part of an orchestra, that they are not only the conductor of, but the star of. A bard, almost through sheer force of will and personality.

Background

Dendra got the nickname Bladesinger while training under Dwarven forgemasters. Instead of adhering to the tried and tested process to forge steel, Dendra thought that the process would go by faster if the metal would be heated even further beyond its melting point. Their results ultimately resulted in brittle metal that looked burnt, and in another unfortunate attempt, they managed to destroy a furnace by heating it up too much. It's not clear if Dendra learned their lesson, and they are convinced that the Dwarves who called them Bladesinger are pronouncing it wrong - the Dwarves pronounced it like /blādsinjer/, as in one who singes the blade. Dendra thinks that the blades sing when forged by them, and seeks to find the perfect tone the metal makes to make a perfect blade. Someday, she may find it...

Dendra arrived to Onadbyr with a contraption of their own construction, a mobile forge, and moves it around town to show off their work, commonly in Trimarket Square, though they can make a "house" visit as a result. The forge, practically speaking the marriage between a cart and a furnace, seems much too heavy for most anyone to move around, but Dendra seems to move it with the greatest of ease. With each new passing interest in another field of crafting, another addition is made to the cart somehow.
