Discord

The Discord Server is where all communication about Expeditions, rules, and general RP happens.

Roles

There are several roles that exist in the server, which each serve different purposes.

• Storyteller: Users who manage Kelek as a whole, and have administrative permissions for the FoundryVTT. Storytellers are always both GMs and players, and manage overarching lore and mechanical decisions, player/GM reports, and serve as moderators for the Discord server.
• GM: Users who run sessions in Kelek. Anyone may apply for this role, but it is recommended that folks have been active for at least a couple months in order to be approved.
• Firekeeper: Users who manage the minutiae of running Kelek. Firekeepers manage tickets, interviews for new players, updating the Wiki, and more. Anyone may apply for this role.
• Interviewer: Users who conduct new player interviews.
• Admin: Users with administrative permissions for the Discord server.
• Wiki Admin: Users with administrative permissions for the Wiki.
• Resident: All players who have passed the interview receive this role, and it indicates being a participant in the Westmarches. It is also the role pinged for announcements.
• Recruit: This role is automatically added to any user who joins the server, and indicates that they haven't yet completed their interview to fully join Kelek.
• Friends: This role is for users who are not active participants in Kelek, but for one reason or another are allowed to stick around.
• Cosmetic roles: Cosmetic roles can be purchased with Karma, and can be applied to any folks that the owner of the role desires. They can change the color of a user's name, and occasionally have icons attached to them. Examples include Gender, Clan Ashenforge, and the Heavy Hitters.

Server Structure

The structure of the Discord server is detailed below. Each channel has a purpose to keep everything nicely organized.

Server Information

Information about the server and the town of Onadbyr.

• rules: Server wide rules everyone must abide by in the Discord, on the FoundryVTT, and on the wiki. Also includes a public invite link to the Discord, links to the FoundryVTT and Wiki, and a Google Drive of resources.
• open-a-ticket: Click the button to open a Ticket to speak with an administrative team.
• server-announcements: Any announcements concerning the community. Please leave this channel unmuted.
• notice-board: GMs will post Expedition event postings here and ping the Resident role. Feel free to mute the channel if you don't want to be notified for Expeditions.

Firekeepers

Housekeeping. Majority only accessible by Firekeepers.

• early-downtime-log: A record of characters' early downtime activities for reference during Downtime.

General

Anything concerning the community that might be TTRPG adjacent.

• ooc: A place for out-of-character chatter where you can talk about anything and everything.
• memes: Post your memes and hot takes here.
• petting-room: Post pictures of your pets here.
• cooking-corner: It's for food.
• kelek-out-of-context: For screenshots and quotes from players within Kelek's voice or text channels that don't necessarily relate to a session.
• quotes: Post in-character quotes that you find funny or interesting here.
• psychic-link: Those in Voice Chat that do not want to speak can use this channel to communicate. It is also used for general discussion surrounding current, recent, or future sessions.
• new-recruit-chatter: Like #ooc, but unvetted members can also engage in conversation before their application is approved here. Feel free to engage and answer questions.
• bot-stuff: Interact with the Discord bots.

In-Game

Anything to do with playing out Expeditions.

• Game Room X: Game Rooms 1-3 are used for playing out an Expedition.
• pbp-games: GMs may elect to run a play-by-post Expedition. Those will be organized here. Do not participate in a thread that you do not have a character involved in.

RP Channels

Any channels under this category are for in-character roleplay, and represent locations within or surrounding Onadbyr. Make sure to follow the Text RP etiquette.

• Onadbyr: Locations within Onadbyr or its direct vicinity.
  • the-fleamarket: A forum channel that allows Associates to post buy/sell ads.
• Desperate Hope: Locations within and surrounding the Desperate Hope outpost.
• Beyond Onadbyr: Locations a notable distance from Onadbyr.
