Tilfel

Tilfel is a distant region to the East accessible through the use of an Anchor Ooze portal. The Ooze is open for the foreseeable future thanks to Benny's actions in Into the Snowscape Pt. 2. The Tilfel Arc is run by Storyteller Indi.

Dr. Sorenvan's Journal

A23/5 - Ingress
The expedition to the point-of-interest concluded with mixed success. The region the locals call "Tilfel" is situated in quite the hidden valley. Horace says from his night-time sorties the only way into the locale is through a 
tunnel system carved by an ancient branch of mountain runoff feeding into its main artery.

A23/5 - Frozen
The region is not as expected. The strange amorphous beings thought to originate from here did not tolerate cold well in the laboratory experiments. Tilfel is nothing but a frozen landscape with no ooze in sight, a most perplexing 
discovery following divinatory scouting just a month prior.
I suspect I was scammed.

The Woman of Winter offered a parting gift to those that remain, we must fetch it ourselves. The portion of land in which is lays she describes as a "Place of no honor." She refuses entry to her kin. Aresaki believes the strange 
energy readings manifest from here - a most exciting change in circumstance.

We have left Tilfel, natives chasing on our heels. They believe us to have committed grave atrocities from the shouts as they lunge with spears and pila. Of the thirteen that entered only four of us remain.

The contractors and I have parted ways after demands for extra payment. Bah! They should be honored for the adventure provided. Regardless, the crystalline structure remains with me. I believe it to harbor a curse of some kind, 
though one of minor consequence. The skin dries and a mighty cough produces blood. I am to see an apothecary soon.

I can no longer climb the ladder leaving the study, no strength remains in my bones. Agony is all I feel. The salves no longer relieve the degeneration of the flesh. The curse was more dire than I knew, curse to the Woman of Winter!

Rotrocks

Rot rock are green crystalline gems that can be found both from the sky or deep underground. They glow a faint green color and are incredibly cursed, Rotting the body very quickly.

Arc 1 - Trouble in Onadbyr

A cult, a murderous halfling, and a hidden threat below Onadbyr forces the Associates to investigate.

Condemned Clean-up

A scuffle in an abandoned butchers shop leads Associates to investigate. The basement, long untouched, holds several magical wards intended to repel unwanted eyes. A melted man, a cursed rock, and a journal are all that remain.

Onadbyr Cult Investigation

Strange runes near the butchers shop are under investigation before the party is approached by a halfling named Abigail who tips the group off about a smuggler named Melty. A brief standoff ends in violence as half of Melty's crew are killed and Melty is captured. After refusing to give Melty over to Abigail, one of the fleeing smugglers was supposedly strung up by the halfling.

The Halfling

The pursuit of Abigail leads a group to the Weathermans Musk. A heavy-handed entry reveals two halfling children hiding in the basement. The group elects to wait for Abigail to return and when she does, a second Abigail ambushes her from behind with a spell. The first Abigail survives and the second Abigail escapes before the group can pursue.

Melty's Mark Basement

A further passageway below the warehouse from the cult investigation was discovered while cleaning away the smuggled goods. Strange vibrations and an unnatural biting cold greets the explorers as they descend to a long buried stone structure beneath Onadbyr. The group fought their way through several constructs of ice and ooze before discovering another green crystal identified as a rotrock alongside copies of Dr. Sorenvan's Journal. Melty taunts the group before disappearing further into the facility.

Icicle's in the Deep

A day later the party returns to finish exploring the structure. Two humans found imprisoned in cells are rescued, though they only speak a language similar to Jotun. They arm themselves and assist the party in navigating to the source of the disturbance - a large ooze suspended by magic with Voml, a member of clan Ashenforge, guarding it. Voml is slain revealing a Dandasuka was wearing his face and alleging the creature impersonated several people in Onadbyr. The suspended ooze is fed items to stabilize it into a portal through which the two prisoners exit. The portal to Tilfel has been opened.
